Before joining Symmetry Financial Group, Preston Semler Jr. was living what many would call the American dream: a six-figure career as a General Sales Manager in the car industry, leading teams and closing deals. But behind the success, something was missing. “I had the income,” he recalls, “but I was missing my family time.”

Years of late nights and weekends on the lot meant missing moments he could never get back, the small milestones of his daughters’ childhood and the early years that pass too fast. When his son was born in 2019, everything shifted. “I realized if I stayed in the car business, I’d never have the chance to be the kind of father I wanted to be,” he says. That moment became his turning point.

Preston joined Symmetry with one goal in mind: to earn back his time. He works alongside his wife, Terra, creating not just financial security for their family but a lifestyle where presence matters more than paychecks. “I can be part of all the things my kids are involved in now,” he says. “And the best part is: I get to do life and this business with my wife.”

His advice for new agents is simple and real: Listen to your mentor, stay coachable, and do the uncomfortable work. “It won’t always be easy,” Preston says, “but it will always be worth it.”
