What were you doing before Symmetry and what was your approximate income?

I was a Collegiate Baseball Player – no income, living off my parents.

What attracted you to Symmetry Financial Group?

The ability to come in and pay off my school loans quickly. All I wanted to do was get out of debt and go back to chasing my dream of playing professional baseball. That changed 2 months in when I realized everyone here wanted something better for me and not anything from me. Money brought me, culture caught me, impact kept me.

How has your life changed since joining Symmetry?

Everything about my life has changed. The way I treat people, the way I view myself, my level of joy on a day-to-day basis, honestly, I don’t recognize the person I was 6 months ago, much less 2 years ago. The money and freedom is wonderful, but what brought me here isn’t what drives me anymore. The personal development journey and recognition of what is truly possible for me has exceeded all expectations. I feel like I truly know myself, am leading myself, and recognize this life isn’t about me but what I can do for others. That’s what gets me out of bed now.

What opportunities have you been able to do or provide because you started working with Symmetry Financial Group, that you likely would not have done or unable to in another career?

The opportunity to help someone without expectation of return. The opportunity to recognize what I’m going through isn’t about me, but it’s really to impact someone else down the road that I may or may not meet. The opportunity to spend thousands of dollars on my family for travel and presents. The opportunity to give and give abundantly. The opportunity to set my life up in a way where I’ll be fully present while raising my family and not be worried about money. The opportunity to create a legacy for my current and future family that will pay them continuously for generations and generations to come. The opportunity to build lifelong relationships with people I love and care about. The opportunity to free others and free myself in the process. The opportunity to actually make a difference.

What advice do you have for a new agent?

Figure out what you want and don’t stop until you get it, then find something else that moves you and do it again. Understand the struggle will last as long as you want it to. Don’t quit. Recognize your journey here has little to do with you, but so much more to do with the families you serve and the partners you bring on. If you want it in life, you have to become it internally first.
