Joshua Busik’s story is proof that confidence is built, not born.

Before joining Symmetry Financial Group, Josh spent over a decade working with his hands as a meat cutter and later as a car salesman – two careers that taught him discipline but left him drained. The pay was good, but the price was time. Working from early morning until late at night, he rarely saw his family and realized that success meant very little if it cost him everything else.

That’s when he discovered Symmetry – not through an application, but by chance. One day, while scrolling through emails at the chiropractor’s office, he came across a message that mentioned time and money. Those two words changed everything. He joined in 2016, full of excitement and drive, but quickly learned that success here wasn’t about talent – it was about transformation.

Three months in, Josh nearly quit. The work was hard, the results inconsistent, and old habits from his previous career made change uncomfortable. But then came a conversation that shifted his trajectory. Brian Delaney challenged him directly: “If giving up on your dreams is easier than the pain of change, then maybe you should go back.” That moment of truth became the foundation of the leader he is today.

Josh stayed, grew, and rebuilt himself from the inside out. He learned that discipline creates confidence, and confidence creates freedom. What started as a job became a calling – one that now allows him to lead a high-performing team while living a life on his terms.

As a Regional Agency Director, Josh focuses on teaching others not just how to sell, but how to lead – first themselves, then others. He believes that leadership is about building leaders, not followers. In his words, “You can teach a man to fish, but if you can teach a man how to teach a man to fish, no one in the world will go hungry.”

Today, Josh lives with the kind of balance he once thought impossible. From golf at the country club to spontaneous beach days with his family, he’s built a life filled with both freedom and purpose. His mission now is to help others do the same – to dream bigger, work smarter, and build confidence the only way it’s ever built: by doing hard things.
