Devon Johnson’s story is one of grit, growth, and unshakable belief. Before joining Symmetry Financial Group, Devon spent more than five years in the automotive sales industry, climbing fast and earning six figures by his early twenties. Yet behind the success, something was missing ownership, purpose, and peace of mind.

In 2018, he was introduced to Symmetry through his friend and mentor Jordan Hunt, who connected him with Brian Delaney. After a brief conversation, Devon saw something rare: a business that rewarded not just skill but integrity and work ethic. He attended his first national conference soon after, and within weeks, a hurricane hit his home on the North Carolina coast. Four months into marriage, with no income and no license yet in hand, Devon had to decide whether to retreat or rise.

He chose to rise.

“I had nothing coming in, no savings, and no backup plan. But I made a decision that my conditions wouldn’t define my destiny.” That decision changed everything.

Devon rebuilt from the ground up – quite literally, tearing out floorboards in the morning and making calls in the afternoon. Through those early challenges, he discovered a truth that would define his leadership: decisions, not conditions, determine outcomes.

Today, as a Regional Agency Director, Devon has built a business defined by trust, consistency, and faith in the process. He’s mentored countless agents, helping them move from struggle to stability through discipline and daily action.

“What most people don’t see,” he says, “are the sacrifices: the late nights, the weekends dialing when everyone else was watching football. But those small promises to myself built the man I am today.”

For Devon, leadership isn’t about titles or numbers; it’s about getting results in a way that inspires trust. His success is measured not only in income or growth but in impact, helping others believe in themselves again, just as his mentors once believed in him.
