Wes Engbrecht spent decades in the business world before finding his true purpose in leadership and service. A former certified financial planner turned multi-business owner, Wes knew success but he just didn’t know freedom. Working 65-hour weeks in the car industry, he found himself asking a life-altering question: “Whose legacy am I building, mine or someone else’s?”

That question led him to Symmetry Financial Group, where his focus shifted from selling cars to serving families. Within five years, Wes transformed from employee to entrepreneur, culminating in his promotion to Agency Owner under the mentorship of Jim Russman in the Delaney–Pritchett hierarchy.

The journey wasn’t easy. Twice he nearly reached agency ownership, only to fall short. “I realized I hadn’t yet grown into the leader I needed to be,” he says. “It forced me to focus on becoming the person who could lead others and not just chase a title.” That mindset change became his turning point.

Today, Wes leads a thriving team from his home in South Dakota, where he and his wife, Suzanne, have built a life anchored in purpose, peace, and impact. He wakes up each morning not to an alarm clock, but to an opportunity of helping families protect their futures while empowering agents to reclaim their time and dreams.

His message to new agents is simple: “Never quit. This business is simple, but not easy. Follow the system, trust your mentor, and when you feel like giving up, remember why you started. If you stay the course, peace and purpose will follow.”
