Before joining Symmetry Financial Group, Jimmy Spieldenner spent 15 years managing corporate restaurants. He worked long hours, earned good money, and lived by the bottom line, but it came at a cost. “I was trading every relationship in my life for a paycheck,” he recalls. “The industry was built on squeezing value from people instead of adding value to them.”
Eventually, the pressure and imbalance caught up. The long nights, the endless stress, and the realization that success without purpose wasn’t success at all led him to search for something different. That search led him to Symmetry.
Here, Jimmy found a company built on a completely different standard: one that measured success by service, not sales. “It’s the exact opposite,” he says. “Here, it’s about how much value you can add to someone to help them get what they want.”
The transition wasn’t easy. Jimmy had no sales background and struggled at first to find his rhythm. He couldn’t book appointments over the phone, so he started knocking on doors. But his natural sincerity and people-first approach began opening them, literally. “I wasn’t great at sales, but I knew how to make a friend,” he laughs. “That’s how I started building my confidence.”
Through mentorship from leaders like Brian Delaney, Jimmy grew from a hesitant new agent into a respected leader. What drove him wasn’t income, it was impact. “We’re not just selling policies,” he says. “We’re helping families find peace of mind and helping agents build lives of purpose.”
Today, Jimmy’s leadership reflects the same authenticity that changed his life. He believes in doing good work, serving others, and living with significance. “I used to take value from people,” he says. “Now, I get to give it and that’s what makes this business truly different.”
