  • Go to an approved law enforcement agency or fingerprinting vendor
  • Cost is about $38
  • Results are sent directly to the NCDOI
 

Step 3: Schedule and Pass the Licensing Exam

 

After your education and fingerprints are done, time to prove you’re ready.

 

  • Schedule through Pearson VUE
  • Take the test at a designated testing center
  • Need to bring your pre-licensing certificate and a valid photo ID

       

You’ll get your results immediately.
